Weekly traning group (1 time)

Do you want to sail regularly and get to know like-minded people? In the 2026 season, we organize weekly training sessions for beginners, intermediate sailors, and advanced sailors interested in racing.

At the end of the season, those who participated in the beginner group control the sailboat independently and know how to act in all the roles of the sailboat. We get to know the boat's special sails, such as the spinnaker and gennaker. . During the season, we also focus on navigation and exploring the archipelago.

The advanced/race group focuses on optimal trimming and driving of the boat, as well as training for race situations. The racing group also participates in the Tuesday races organized on Tuesdays in front of Lauttasaari. The racing group will also take part in the Helsinki-Tallinn offshore race on August 22-24
 
The training sessions are primarily organized with an Archambault A35 and a Finnfire 33, but we will also try out Birdie 24, My Helmsman 20, and J/80 during the season.

Rainwear, gloves and life jackets can be borrowed during training.

What? Weekly sailing training for beginners and intermediate sailors
 
When? Beginners training groups on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 17:30-20:30, intermediate/racing group on Tuesdays at 17:30-20:30. 
 
First session May 4, last session September 24
 
Summer break? Training will not be organized from June 20 to August 2
 
Where? NJK, Koivusaari port, Vaskisalmenkuja 9, 00200, Helsinki. Some training sessions can also be organized from NJK's Valkosaari harbor in the center of Helsinki
 
In what language? We teach in Finnish, Swedish and English
 
Price? The whole season (15 times) €800 (racing group 1100€ including Helsinki-Tallinn Race), individual training sessions €75, 
 
Group size?  6 people per beginner group. 5 people in the racing group.
