Are you interested in sailing in the Mediterranean in spring 2026?

We recently organized our first sailing trip in the Mediterranean, in Croatia, and are now planning our next one. Let us know if you are interested in sailing in the Mediterranean in April/May, via this link: https://forms.gle/Wv5ziSBmFXtFNDeC8

Sailing in the Mediterranean - Croatia, Greece, Italy, Mallorca or perhaps from Slovenia to Venice and back?

Below are 5 different alternative destinations for our next Mediterranean sailing. Below you will find the price of the sailing, flight prices, and the typical weather of the destination. In addition to the price, you should reserve about 200€ for port fees, fuel and shared food on the boat.

Sailing in Croatia

Croatia is the cheapest destination in the Mediterranean when it comes to charter boats and flights. However, there is no discount in port fees, restaurants and grocery stores compared to other sailing destinations. Port fees are really high compared to the Nordic countries, up to 200 euros per night during the high season, but fortunately there are also cheaper ports and endless amounts of beautiful anchorages around the archipelago.

Price of sailing in Croatia:

Flights: €200-300 direct flights including check-in luggage

Participation fee: starting at €800 per week

Aft cabin for two: €1800

Bow cabin for two: €1,700

A place in a shared side cabin with bunk beds: €800

Entire bow cabin for yourself: €1200

Sailing weather in Croatia in April-May:

The daily highest temperature in Croatia between April and May is usually 18-22 °C. The winds are generally good, but in spring there is a slightly higher risk of too much wind, as the cold Bora wind is more common than in summer.

Sailing in Greece

Greece is the sunniest and perhaps warmest destination in the Mediterranean in the spring. Athens is easily accessible by direct flights, at a reasonable price. Boats are also cheaper than in Italy and Spain, for example. The food in Greece is cheap, fresh and good.

Price of sailing in Greece:

Flights: €250-300 direct flights with check-in luggage

Participation fee: from 850€ per week

Aft cabin for two: €1900

Bow cabin for two: €1800

A place in a shared side cabin with bunk beds: €850

Entire bow cabin for yourself: €1250

Sailing weather in Greece in April-May:

The highest daily temperature in Greece is usually 20-24 °C in April-May. Late spring and autumn are the best times to sail in Greece, when it is warm but the winds are calmer than in summer. In summer, the strong Meltemi wind often blows at over 15 m/s for several days in a row, making sailing challenging.

Sailing in Italy

Sardinia and its crystal clear waters, from Naples to the Amalfi Coast, or the volcanic landscapes of Sicily? Italy offers a variety of opportunities and, of course, the best food.

Price of sailing in Italy:

Flights: €300-400 with check-in luggage and a stopover.

Participation fee: from 950€ per week

Aft cabin for two: €2100

Bow cabin for two: €2000

A place in a shared side cabin with bunk beds: €950

Entire bow cabin for yourself: €1350

Sailing weather in Italy in April-May:

The highest daily temperature in the Italian sailing areas is usually 19-22 °C in April-May. Late spring and autumn are perfect times to sail in Italy, as you avoid the worst crowds and the strong Mistral and Sirocco winds are less common than in summer.

Sailing in Mallorca

Many people have probably been to Mallorca on holiday, but sailing provides a completely new perspective of the island. The clear waters, stunning sandy beaches, Palma's old town, and spectacular cliffs are the highlights of sailing in Mallorca.

Mallorca sailing price:

Flights: €350-400 with check-in luggage and a stopover. Direct flights almost €500.

Participation fee: from 900€ per week

Aft cabin for two: €2000

Bow cabin for two: €1900

A place in a shared side cabin with bunk beds: €900

Entire bow cabin for yourself: €1300

Sailing weather in Mallorca in April-May:

The highest daytime temperature in Mallorca is usually 19-23 °C at the turn of April and May. The cliffs of Mallorca usually create a stable and moderately strong sea breeze during the day, which calms down suitably in the evening, allowing you to sleep peacefully at night.

Sailing in Slovenia (Possibility to sail to Venice)

Slovenia is not the most typical destination for Mediterranean sailing, but it offers surprisingly smooth flight connections and an interesting sailing area. You can sail to Venice and back in a week from Slovenia. The northern parts of Croatia are also a stone's throw away.

Price of sailing in Slovenia (Venice):

Flights: €300 direct flights with check-in luggage to Ljubljana, from where it is a 1.5-hour transfer to the port, or with a layover to Trieste, from where it's a short transfer to the port.

Participation fee: starting at €900 per week

Aft cabin for two: €2000

Bow cabin for two: €1900

A place in a shared side cabin with bunk beds: €900

Entire bow cabin for yourself: €1300

Sailing weather in Slovenia (Venice region) in April-May:

The highest daily temperature in the northern Adriatic Sea is usually 17-21 °C in April-May. Slovenia usually offers calm winds at this time of year, but the strong Bora wind can bring storms from time to time.
